 伯39:1 山巖間的野山羊幾時生產、你知道麼．母鹿下犢之期你能察定麼．
  Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
 伯39:2 他們懷胎的月數、你能數算麼．他們幾時生產你能曉得麼．
  Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
 伯39:3 他們屈身、將子生下、就除掉疼痛。
  They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows.
 伯39:4 這子漸漸肥壯、在荒野長大、去而不回。
  Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.
 伯39:5 誰放野驢出去自由．誰解開快驢的繩索。
  Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
 伯39:6 我使曠野作他的住處、使鹹地當他的居所。
  Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.
 伯39:7 他嗤笑城內的喧嚷、不聽趕牲口的喝聲。
  He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver.
 伯39:8 遍山是他的草場．他尋找各樣青綠之物。
  The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.
 伯39:9 野牛豈肯服事你．豈肯住在你的槽旁。
  Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?
 伯39:10 你豈能用套繩將野牛籠在犁溝之間．他豈肯隨你耙山谷之地。
  Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
 伯39:11 豈可因他的力大、就倚靠他、豈可把你的工交給他作麼。
  Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?
 伯39:12 豈可信靠他把你的糧食運到家、又收聚你禾場上的穀麼。
  Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn?
 伯39:13 鴕鳥的翅膀歡然搧展、豈是顯慈愛的翎毛和羽毛麼。
  Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
 伯39:14 因他把蛋留在地上、在塵土中、使得溫暖．
  Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
 伯39:15 卻想不到被腳踹碎、或被野獸踐踏。
  And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
 伯39:16 他忍心待雛、似乎不是自己的．雖然徒受勞苦、也不為雛懼怕．
  She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;
 伯39:17 因為　神使他沒有智慧、也未將悟性賜給他。
  Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
 伯39:18 他幾時挺身展開翅膀、就嗤笑馬和騎馬的人。
  What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
 伯39:19 馬的大力是你所賜的麼．他頸項上挓莎的驄、是你給他披上的麼．
  Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
 伯39:20 是你叫他跳躍像蝗蟲麼．他噴氣之威使人驚惶。
  Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
 伯39:21 他在谷中刨地、自喜其力．他出去迎接佩帶兵器的人。
  He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
 伯39:22 他嗤笑可怕的事、並不驚惶、也不因刀劍退回。
  He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.
 伯39:23 箭袋和發亮的槍、並短槍、在他身上錚錚有聲。
  The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield.
 伯39:24 他發猛烈的怒氣將地吞下．一聽角聲就不耐站立。
  He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet.
 伯39:25 角每發聲、他說、呵哈．他從遠處聞著戰氣、又聽見軍長大發雷聲、和兵丁吶喊。
  He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
 伯39:26 鷹雀飛翔、展開翅膀、一直向南、豈是藉你的智慧麼。
  Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?
 伯39:27 大鷹上騰、在高處搭窩、豈是聽你的吩咐麼。
  Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
 伯39:28 他住在山巖、以山峰和堅固之所為家．
  She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place.
 伯39:29 從那裡窺看食物、眼睛遠遠觀望。
  From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
 伯39:30 他的雛也咂血．被殺的人在那裡、他也在那裡。
  Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
